Throughout our earth deforestation and air quality are both very hot topic issues. We know that trees help air quality by sequestering carbon but my study will see if there is a direct connection to the amount of canopy cover in an area to the air quality in that specific area.

ReplyDeleteDid you decide to use the NLCD Canopy cover dataset? If so, how will you analyze it to assess deforestation. For air quality data, I would look through data.gov to see what is available there. You can also trying Googling "air quality data GIS" and see what you can find. Your research question and project scope will ultimately be determined by what is available for data, so that is where you want to start - finding good data sources.
